This class was called "Web Frontend," and it was an absolute blast. We learned about APIs, advanced CSS, forms, and all kinds of fun things
Even though we were supposed to make our sites attractive, the focus was on the function and layout, and not too much on the images or the logos. We were specifically told not to spend too much time on the logos, but were encouraged to amass a collection of stock images to use on our sites.
For this project, we created a fictious company that rented out accommodations to temple-goers around the world.
We were to select 4 temples around the world and then make up 4 hotels that were geared for those temples.
The navigation alone was a bit of work.
The site was pretty large, since each location needed a temple page and a hotel information page, and there were pages of information for different types of patrons, a page for reservations, and a contact page.
Each "hotel" page had to have a navigable gallery.
Each temple page needed expandable information sections for different types of schedules.
And of course, filling out any of the forms would give you a "thank you" page, but remind you that this website is only pretend!
